1. How many lumens do the 8 LED lights give off?
When used with the JOI Premium Tea Lights, our JOI LEDs produce 77 lumens, with an apex angle of 100 degrees; this is equivalent to light emitted by 31 standard candles!
2. The candle won’t stay lit when the door is closed. What can I do?
JOI requires draft airflow in order to work properly. Allow the candle to burn for at least 45 seconds (but no longer than a minute) before closing and latching the door.
3. Condensation is forming on the inside of the glass. What can I do?
Condensation happens when heat meets cold glass and creates moisture. All you can do is allow the candle to continue burning, and once the glass warms up, the condensation will disappear.
4. I heard a loud snap and my JOI snuffed out. What do I do?
Your candle has been burning abnormally and has activated the JOI safety feature. Wait approx. 4-5 minutes until you hear an additional snap signalling a reset of the safety feature. Change the candle, clean any soot buildup, and relight according to instructions.
